9/11 Commercial Prompts Backlash

A Texas mattress store has apologized after facing a backlash for a commercial they made that mocks the 9/11 tragedy.

The video produced by the store advertised “Any mattress for a twin Price”, and shows two men crashing into stacks of mattresses, knocking them to the ground. The ad ends with a woman saying “We’ll never forget”.

The store issued an apology after deleting the commercial from it’s social media channels.

To all of those who have seen our 9/11 sale. We are very sorry we have offended you. Our intentions were not to hurt anyone at all. Our staff is full of military and some relatives have passed away due to 9/11. We are promoters of peace and love. We have given abundantly to our community here in San Antonio and wish to remain known as a company who respects and loves others. We hope you find it in your hearts to forgive us. Please accept our apology.
The owner of Miracle Mattress has also posted an official apology on Facebook.
