New Castle – New Castle County Police are actively investigating a shooting that occurred in the community of Garfield Park, according to New Castle County Police Spokesman JP Piser.
Piser said that Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at about 7:45 p.m., County Police were dispatched to Karlyn Drive in the community of Garfield Park for a shots fired call. Arriving officers located a male victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
This is an active and ongoing investigation; further information will be released as it becomes available.
