Milford – The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford, Executive Director Jo Schmeiser, presented the Greater Milford Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Tod Van Eyken with a $3,000.00 donation check for their help and participation with the 10th Annual Holiday Auction & Tastes of Milford. In addition to the donation to the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club, the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford donated over $14,000 to local non-profit members in 2016.
The Greater Milford Boys and Girls Club offers numerous program areas that challenge and develop the mind and body of their young members. Along with helping members build a solid foundation on which to develop moral and ethical values through diverse educational programs and social activities.
For 85 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware has impacted thousands of lives across Delaware, they are the largest licensed provider of childcare in Delaware and the only statewide Boys & Girls Club in the nation.
Club programs teach life skills, conflict resolution and focus on the development of character. Clubs also provide members with positive role models and a nurturing environment that help improve decision-making skills.
