Reported Structure Fire On North Chapel Street

Newark Police alerted residents of a structure fire on North Chapel Street this afternoon using social media and the city’s telephone alert system.

ALERT: Police and fire units are responding to a reported structure fire on North Chapel Street. Traffic delays should be expected.

Authorities are on scene and continue to investigate. No fire damages is visible from the street.

With the temperature in the 20’s water turned to ice causing part of N. Chapel Street to remain closed.
