Newark – Newark Police are investigating an Unlawful Sexual Contact that occurred on January 21, 2017 at 11:02 p.m. where a 22 year old female University of Delaware student was inappropriately grabbed, according to Newark Police Spokesman Lieutenant Fred Nelson.
Nelson said that the female was walking on the sidewalk in the area of E. Main Street and Academy Street when the incident occurred. The suspect grabbed the victim as he walked by her and continued walking, Nelson said.
Newark Police Officers were able to locate the suspect on surveillance footage from the area, according to Nelson.
The suspect is described as a white male, early 20’s, brown hair, wearing a maroon number “5” jersey with an orange sleeve, and a hooded sweatshirt underneath.
