Main Street Movies 5 Opens Friday Night

Newark – It’s finally here folks! The new movie theater is opening on Friday night!

Eighteen months after the old Newark Cinema Center closed it’s doors an all new Main Street Movies 5 is open for business.

IMG_20170302_081817512[1]Completely gutted and revitalized the new theater now has a self-serve concession stand, two additional screens, reclining seats and they’ll be serving beer and wine.

They’ll also be offering popular items from Bing’s bakery and a local pizza shop.

The theater’s owner, Rick Roman said that he wants Main Street Movies 5 to become a great member of the community by working with local businesses and organizations. “Our mission is to make people smile and by doing that we hope to make the community smile.”, said Roman.

The new 503 seat movie theater will directly employee around 35 people, with a diverse range of ages, according to Roman.

Friday’s movie line-up Friday is Logan, The Shack, Get Out, and A Dog’s Purpose.

Ticket pricing,  Pricing is $11 adult, $9 matinee, $8.50 child and $9 student (midnight shows only)

The facility will also have a party room for up to 24 people and opportunities for local businesses to advertise on the big screen, added Roman.
