Happening Now: Firefighters Battle Newark House Fire

Newark – Tonight just before 7:00 p.m. fire companies from around New Castle County responded to reports of a house fire in the 900 block of Devon Drive.

Arriving units found the home with heavy smoke showing. Firefighters worked for about an hour to bring the fire under control and are still on scene.

Shocked home owners arrived at the home to see fire crews working on the house and were quickly taken aside by first responders.

Residents of the neighborhood filled the streets to look on as the fire crews and rescue units works the scene.

No injures were evident.
