Saint Georges – This morning, April 19, just after 10:30 a.m. New Castle County Paramedics and an ambulance from Delaware City responded to a report a person in the water.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 65-year-old man was sitting on the rocks and fell into the canal. The man was able to get out of the canal before rescue crews arrived.
It’s unclear what the patients injuries were or if he was transported to the hospital.
The Delaware State Police Aviation Unit (Trooper 4) was alerted but was not utilized.
