New Castle County Police Have Arrested “Geronimo”, Bail Set At $100,000

New Castle – New Castle County Police have arrested Cornelius “Geronimo” Thorpe, 58 for drug offenses in the community of Garfield Park, according to New Castle County Police Spokeswoman M/Cpl. Heather Carter

Carter said on Saturday (May 13) at about 11:15 a.m., County Police Safe Streets detectives conducted an investigation into the sale of drugs by probationer, Cornelius “Geronimo” Thorpe.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to conduct an administrative search for Cornelius “Geronimo” Thorpe’s residence, which is located in the unit block of Chesterfield Drive. Detectives located 3,906 bags of heroin, 4.58 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana and $2,961.00 in suspected drug proceeds, according to Carter.

Cornelius “Geronimo” Thorpe was taken into custody without incident and charged with possession of heroin in a Tier 5 quantity, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cornelius “Geronimo” Thorpe was committed to Howard Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $100,000.00 cash bail.
