Westmont/Westminster – At approximately 8:15 pm, New Castle County Paramedics (NCCP), Belvedere, Mill Creek and Cranston Heights Fire Companies were dispatched to the intersection of Newport Gap Pike and Mill Creek Road for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, according to NCCP Spokewoman Yvonne Russell.
Russell said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found 3 patients in care of responding fire companies. The first patient, 42-year-old female, suffered injuries to her head and arm. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.
The second patient, 41-year-old male, suffered injuries to his head and leg. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Cranston Heights Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.
The third patient, 79-year-old female, suffered injuries to her neck and back. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance accompanied by emergency medical technicians (EMT’s). The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.
Delaware State Police are investigating the accident.
