New Castle – This morning’s summer school bus ride took a little longer than usual for some elementary school students.
New Castle County Police officers and rescue crews descended on Chesterfield Drive this morning for reports of school bus involved in an injury accident.
Arriving first responders found a two vehicle accident involving a mini van and school bus that was headed to Eisenberg Elementary School.
Crews quickly checked the the children and driver of the van for injuries. It’s not believe that any children were injured in the accident.
The driver of the van was transported with non-life-threatening injuries. Damage to the vehicles was light.
