Smoke Fills Library At Skyline Middle School in Pike Creek

Pike Creek – At approximately 7:15 am this morning fire crews from across northern New Castle County responded to Skyline Middle School for reports of structure fire.

Arriving units from Mill Creek Fire Company found smoke in the library. Units from Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder, Belvedere Fire Company and Minquas Fire Company responded to the scene in support of Mill Creek.

Crews spent about 45 minutes locating the source of the smoke before turning the scene over to maintenance at the school. The smell of an electrical fire was still in the air as fire fighters were wrapping up the scene.

No injuries were reported
