New Castle – New Castle County Police are currently investigating a homicide that occurred in the community of Castlebrook Apartments, according to M/Cpl. Heather Carter.
Carter said at approximately 6:47 p.m., yesterday, patrol officers were dispatched to the 500 block of S.DuPont Hwy for a cutting.
Arriving officer learned that a 29-year-old female had been transported to an area hospital where she ultimately succumbed to her injury, according to Carter.
Carter said that the investigation is in its preliminary stages and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
