Newark – Just after 12:30 this afternoon Delaware State Police, along with crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder responded to the intersection of Capitol Trail and Delaplane Avenue for a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles, one we heavy damage and one patient in need of medical attention. Ambulance crews from Aetna transported one patient to Christiana Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Capitol Trail remains backed up in the area of Route 72 as crews work to clear the scene.
