Human Skeletal Remains Found Near Smyrna, Troopers Investigating

Smyrna – The Delaware State Police are currently conducting a death investigation after human skeletal remains were located, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Melissa Jaffe.

Jaffe said on Friday, January 19, 2018, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Detectives responded to Mount Friendship Road, north of Brenford Road, Smyrna in reference to a death investigation.

Detectives have discovered human skeletal remains at the scene which have been turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science to determine the identification and cause of death.

Delaware State Police said that they will release further information as it becomes available.
