Update: Police Update Suspicious Package At 10th And Market Street

Wilmington –  At approximately 10:25 am, Wilmington Police were summoned to 901 N. Market Street (Del One Federal Credit Union) for a suspicious package complaint.

The packages were located inside the vestibule of the business. WPD protocol/policy is to dispatch the department’s bomb unit.

Final disposition of the packages turned out to be a bag of trash and an empty gas can.

The 800 and 900 of N. Market Street is now open to all pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

Wilmington – The Wilmington Police Bomb Squad (EOD) is on scene investigating a suspicious package in the area of 10th and Market Street.

WPD just released the following statement:

Advisory: SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE: 900 block of N. Market Street, Wilmington DE 19801

Wilmington Pollice are currently investigating a SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE located in the 900 of N. Market Street.

At this time, the 800 and 900 block of N. Market Street is closed for pedestrian and vehicular traffic until further notice.

Avoid the area while authorities work to clear the scene.
