Friends Charged With Shooting Up Two Homes In Dover

Dover- The Dover Police Department has arrested Syncere Friends, 19, of Felton, in the shooting incident that occurred in Capitol Green, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

The incident occurred on Thursday, April 17th at approximately 8:48 pm. Officers responded to the area in reference to shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers learned that two homes in the 400 Block of East Water Street had been struck, but no residents were injured. Several shell casings were found in the area, but no other information is available at this time.

Hoffman said Friends was developed as a suspect in the investigation and was taken into custody on April 26th during a traffic stop without incident.

Friends was committed to JTVCC in default of $83,000 bond on the following charges:
-Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (5x)
-Criminal Mischief (2x)
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Traffic Offenses
