File

Minquadale – New Castle County Police are currently investigating a motor vehicle crash that damaged a residence, according to M/Cpl. Heather Carter.

Carter said Today, April 8, at 2:09 a.m., New Castle County Police were dispatched to the unit block of Seaford Street, in the community of Minquadale, for the report of a motor vehicle crash.

Police learned that a gray Toyota Rav4, driven by a 28-year-old female, crashed into the front of the residence causing significant damage, Carter said. The driver was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

Detectives from the New Castle County Police Traffic Services Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Carter said it appears that alcohol may be a factor in this investigation.

New Castle County Code Enforcement responded to the scene and declared the residence inhabitable.
