Minivan Crushed Between Two Dump Trucks In Newark

Newark – Just before 3:00 this afternoon, rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with Delaware State Troopers were dispatched to the intersection of Otts Chapel Road and Old Chestnut Hill Road for reports of injury accident.

Upon arrival, crews found a crash involving two dump trucks and a minivan, with one patient in need of care.

The minivan sustained heavy damage to the front and back ends during the accident. Witnesses reported that at least one child was in the van. It’s unclear if the child was injured.

It’s believed that one patient was transported to Christiana Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
