Just after 5:40 this afternoon, Monday, June 18, 2018, firefighters from the Talleyville Fire Company responded to the 100 block of Thissell Lane for reports of a residential structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews are reporting smoke showing from the front of the structure. Firefighters have entered the structure to investigate.
Early reports indicate that crews have found a fire in the kitchen and are working to knock it down.
Firefighters from across New Castle County and Chester County Pennsylvania have responded to assist.
Update: 6:08 Command is reporting that most of the fire has been knocked down. Crews checking for extension into the attic.
Update: 6:11 Command have placed the fire under control, holding units on scene.
