Just In: Pedestrian Badly Injured In Bridgeville Crash, En Route To Trauma Center By Air

Bridgeville – Just after 5:00 this afternoon, rescue crews from the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department responded to the intersection of Jones Dogwood Drive and Booker T Washington Street for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, crews found a 19-year-old-male suffering from serious head injuries. Crews on scene declared the patient a priority one trauma code, the most serious.

Trooper 2 (Delaware State Police Aviation Sussex) was then alerted and quickly made preparations to make the flight from Bridgeville to Stanton.

While Trooper 2 was en route crews on scene prepared the patient for travel before transporting him to a landing zone a few blocks away.
