Reports: Domestic Incident Ends With Pedestrian Struck In Newark, Fleeing Vehicle

Newark – Just after 9:15 last evening rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, New Castle County Paramedics and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the the 200 block of Margaux Circle.

Upon arrival, ambulance crews from Aetna’s A-10 reported that a subject was down in the roadway. As crews and New Castle County Police responded to the scene they were advised that this was possibly a domestic incident. They were also advised that the vehicle had fled the scene.

After assessing the patient, Aetna’s Deputy 9 immediately advised Trooper 4 to locate an LZ (Landing Zone) and that they would be utilized.

Due to complications with the patient, crews determined that it would be better to transport by ground and Trooper 4 was recalled.

The patient was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

New Castle County Police have not released any details regarding this investigation.
