Construction Prompts City To Change Public Bus Route In Newark

On Thursday officials with the City of Newark announced a route change for the Unicity Bus Service.

Due to construction work at the Fairfield Shopping Center, Unicity will temporarily reroute its bus service through that area. The detour will have the bus enter Country Club Drive and stop at the former DART bus stop. It will then continue on to Stamford Drive, making a right turn and then another right at Cambridge to exit the neighborhood. As it travels south on New London Road, the bus will make a right into the shopping center to stop at the north end of that location.

Once the construction is concluded, normal bus service will resume. Questions regarding the temporary changes can be directed to the Planning and Development Department at 302-366-7000.
