Happening Now: Trooper Flown To Hospital After Crash In Middletown

Middletown – Just after 6:30 this evening rescue crews from the Odessa Fire Company, along with New Castle County Paramedics, Delaware State Troopers and Trooper 4 responded to Route 13 and Boyds Corner for reports of a Trooper involved motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles with heavy damage and two patients in their vehicles.

Reports from the scene indicate that the crash occurred at moderate-speed, which caused the Trooper’s vehicle to spin around on impact.

The Trooper has been transported to Christiana Hospital via Trooper 4. No Trauma alert was requested.

Information on the other driver is not available at this time.
