Detectives Investigating “Sexual Activity” At Newark High School

Newark – On September 5, 2018, Newark Police received a report of “sexual activity” that occurred inside Newark High School during the school day, according to Lt. Andrew Rubin.

The incident, which was allegedly was between students, was reported to Newark Police by the school. The schools report prompted the Newark Police Criminal Investigations Division to open an an investigation to determine whether or not a crime occurred, according to Rubin.

Rubin said that the number of students involved is still under investigation.

Due to the sensitive nature of the incident and the involvement of juveniles, Rubin said that no further information would be released at this time.
