New Castle 7-11 Store Closed Down Without Notice

New Castle – Another popular business has apparently closed down in New Castle County. The 7-11 convenience store located at Route 273 and Airport Road has shuttered it’s doors and boarded up the windows.

It’s unclear if they’re closed down for repairs, a remodel or for good. The company’s corporate office says they’re still open and the 7-11 website still shows the location as open but our readers and neighboring businesses say the their closed.

The intersection is a very competitive location with several gas stations and convenience store located within yards of each other. In addition to the competition at the intersection a new Wawa opened up just down the road, at Airport Road and and Churchman Road, a few years ago.

Last week the Don Pablo’s at Christiana Mall abruptly closed down after 20 years, shocking residents from across the county.
