Police Say Newark Woman Assaulted When She Returned Home From Work

Newark – Today, Sept 2, 2018, just after 6:00 a.m., patrol officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the area of building 34 Fairway Road in, the Hunters Crossing Apartments, for an assault report that occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. When the officers arrived at the scene they learned that the 33-year-old victim reported that when she returned home from work she was assaulted by an unknown male.

Officials have not released any further details regarding the incident.

The victim described the suspect as being A dark-skinned black male, 5’10.

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police, Criminal Investigations Unit arrived on scene and assumed the investigation.
