Four Vehicle Crash Near Delaware Park Traps Two

Stanton – At 11:29 this morning, rescue crews from the Cristiana Fire Company, along with crews from the Minquas Fire, Company, Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, and New Castle County Paramedics responded to Route 4 at Churchmans Road for a vehicle accident with entrapment.

Upon arrival, command reported that two patients were trapped.  Within minutes crews were able to remove the patients and transport them to nearby Christiana Hospital. It’s believed that they were sent to the Trauma Center.

The accident involved four vehicles, a truck and three small cars.  At this point, it’s unclear how many patients were transported in total.

The intersection remained closed with crews worked to clear the scene.

Delaware State Police are investigating.
