Detectives with the New Castle County Division of Police are investigating the robbery of a man in the community of Hamilton Park in New Castle.

Police said on October 7th, officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the unit block of North Street for a robbery report. When they arrived the officers learned that the caller had driven to this area to sell his motorcycle to a person he met on social media.

According to the victim, while the subject was seated on the bike, he went to his truck to get a tool. It was at this point he heard the motorcycle start and ran to grab onto the motorcycle. The subject struck the victim and drove off on the motorcycle towards the city of Wilmington, according to police.
