Tropical Storm Michael Expected To Strengthen Into Hurricane

Tropical Storm Michael is strengthening in the Caribbean Sea and could pose a threat to the eastern Gulf states. The storm is forecast to strengthen into a Category 2 hurricane by the middle the week.

Storm surge, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall are expected. Currently centered about 105 miles east-southeast of Cozumel, Mexico, Michael is moving toward the US.
