Update: Teen Shot Multiple Times In Smyrna In Stable Condition

Smyrna – Smyrna Police Department (SPD) investigators are actively working to solve a late-night shooting which occurred on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at around 10 p.m., according to a statement released by the agency.

Police said officers responded to the area of South Street and East Street where they located a 19-year-old old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) with a Kent County Medic accompanying, transported the patient to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital in Stanton.

The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition, according to police.

Smyrna – At around 10:00 this evening Delaware State Police along with Kent County Paramedics and Trooper 4 (Delaware Stae Police Aviation responded to a shooting in Smyrna.

Indications are that the gunfire was heard in the area of South and Main Street, near the Christina care parking lot, according to witnesses at the scene.

Medics are reporting that a teen is suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Witnesses at the scene are reporting that they can see four yellow evidence markers on the ground.

The patient is currently en route to a New Castle County trauma center via Trooper 4.
