Just In: Driver Airlifted After Head-On Collision Into A Tree

Georgetown – Just before 4:30 this morning rescue crews from the Georgetown Fire Company, along with Delaware State Police and Trooper 2 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to Seashore Highway in the area of the Cokesbury Church.

Early reports indicate that an unrestrained driver slammed head-on into a tree and sustained serious injuries. That patient was treated on scene before being airlifted.

Just before 6:00 this morning Trooper 2 landed with the patient at the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center in Stanton.
