Happening Now: Route 40 Rollover Crash Sends One To Hospital

Newark – Just after 10;00 this morning rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company responded to Pulaski Highway (Route 40) and Sunset Lake Road (Route 72) for reports of a rollover crash with entrapment.

Road crews working in the area jumped into action, directing traffic and helping those involved in the accident.

Upon arrival, ambulance crews confirmed that a vehicle was on its side with the driver still inside.

The driver has since been transported to Christiana Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Route 72 NB is closed at the intersection while crews work to remove the two vehicles involved in the crash.

Traffic in the area is crawling.
