Photo Of Burglary Suspect Leads To Arrest Of Father, Son

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police have arrested 25-year-old William Rodriguez Jr. and 46-year-old William Rodriguez Sr. in connection with a Burglary that occurred on the unit block of Naamans Road.

On Tuesday, November 13, 2018 Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to a Burglary report that occurred at the unit block of Naamans Road. The suspect obtained several items, including a credit card, which was later used at a Wawa in Essington, Pennsylvania (near the Philadelphia airport), according to police.

After releasing images of a suspect in the case Detectives received numerous tips identifying 25-year-old William Rodriguez Jr. as the subject in the photo, according to police. Further investigation resulted in the identification of 46-year-old William Rodriguez Sr. as an accomplice of this crime, officials said. Both William Rodriguez Jr. and William Rodriguez Sr. have been apprehended.

William Rodriguez Sr. was charged with one count of felony Burglary in the Second Degree, one charge of felony Theft, one count of Conspiracy in the Second Degree, and one charge of misdemeanor Criminal Mischief.

William Rodriguez Sr. was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and is currently being held at Gander Hill in lieu of $9,000 cash bail.

William Rodriguez Jr.was charged with one count of misdemeanor Receiving Stolen Property.

William Rodriguez Jr.was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was released on $500 unsecured bail.
