Fiery Crash Shuts Down I-95 In Cecil County

North East, Maryland – Just after 10:00 this morning Cecil County firefighters responded to I-95 NB, near the Chesapeake House Service Center for a  two-vehicle crash with a rollover.

Upon, arrival, crews found an older model SUV fully engulfed in fire. The northbound lanes of I-95 have been completely shut down.

One Delaware man told First State Update that he has been sitting behind the crash for 45 minutes.

About a dozen state police cars, three fire trucks, and a couple ambulances are still here. Maryland transportation trucks and tow trucks have the road blocked.

No word on injuries at this stage.
