Officials Update Dirtbike Crash At Christiana Town Center – Video

This afternoon, at 2:18, New Castle County Paramedics and personnel from Christiana Fire Company were dispatched to the Christiana Town Center for a motorcycle crash, according to Paramedic Senior Corporal David McKinney, Jr.

McKinney said arriving County Paramedics found a single motorcycle that was involved in a crash. The driver, a 39-year-old male, was treated on scene for a head injury and a medical emergency. It is unknown if the patient was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The patient was transported to the Emergency Department at Christiana Hospital on board an ambulance from the Christiana Fire Company, accompanied by County Paramedics. The patient was stable at the time of transport. There were no other patients transported from the scene.

State Troopers were on scene and are investigating the crash.

Breaking Report

Just after 2:15 this afternoon, rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with New Castle County Paramedics and Delaware State Police responded to the Christiana Town Center for reports of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

When crews arrived they found the rider suffering from injuries sustained when he laid the bike down. Reports from the scene indicate that the rider did not have a helmet on at the time of the crash.

The patient was transported to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital via ambulance.
