At approximately 10:59 am, Wilmington Police were attempting to stop a Dejuan Robinson, wanted on multiple felonies, in the area of E. 12th Street and Rosemont Avenue in Wilmington.

The suspect vehicle refused to stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued northbound on I-495, according to police.

The pursuit continued onto I-95, northbound. Just past the Philadelphia International Airport, the suspect vehicle rammed another motorist, which caused a collision with the pursuing Wilmington officers.

As a result of the accident, two Wilmington officers are being treated at a hospital in Philadelphia for non-life threatening injuries. Three other Wilmington officers are not injured but are being checked out at Christiana Hospital.

A Pennsylvania State Trooper that joined the chase and a passenger on a SEPTA bus that was struck were also injured during the pursuit.

Robinson was able to evade the officers. Philadelphia Police are actively searching for Robinson in South Philadelphia.

This is an on-going investigation and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
