Man Shot 10 Times In West Center City Listed In Stable Condition

Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that took place last night in the 600 block of North Jefferson Street.

Last evening, Monday, February 25, 2019, Wilmington Police on patrol in the area of 6th Street and North Jefferson Street heard shots fired at approximately 7:30.

The officers responded to the area and subsequently located a male victim at 7th and Jefferson.

Arriving rescue crews from the Wilmington Fire Department, along with medics treated the victim at the scene before transporting him to the trauma center.

As of Monday night, the victim, reportedly shot 10 times, was listed in stable condition.

Initial reports that a second victim was located at the scene appear to be unfounded.

Additional rescue crews sent to the scene for a second victim were not able to locate another victim.

Wilmington Fire is reporting that at least one victim has been shot.

Crews are now reporting that a second patient has been located at 7th and Jefferson.

Update: One patient is being transported to the trauma center with multiple gunshot wounds.

We have not been able to confirm the second victim.
