Three Injured In Sussex County Crash, Subjects Reported Trapped

This afternoon, Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 12:34, Rescue crews from the Selbyville Fire Company along Sussex County medics and Trooper 2 were dispatched to the intersection of Lighthouse Road (DE-54) and Hudson Road for reports of a vehicle accident with entrapment.

While en route, crews learned that two vehicles were involved and that three patients were injured.

Upon arrival, crews reported all three patients would be ALS (Advanced Life Support) patients.

It’s believed that all three patients have been transported to the hospital.

It’s not clear if the helicopter was utilized.

The Delaware State Police issued a statement that alerted motorist to the Lighthouse Road (DE-54) and Hudson Road road closures.
