Police: Dover K9 Cop Tracks Down Armed Robbery Suspect

The Dover Police Department has arrested Radames Guzman, 23, of Magnolia, on armed robbery charges after he robbed My Roma Pizza on Friday afternoon, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

[ms-protect-content id=”35525,36371,36374,36464,36481″]Hoffman said at approximately 3:24, Guzman entered the business and displayed what appeared to be a black handgun and demanded money. Guzman fled on foot after the robbery and the Dover Police Patrol Unit established a perimeter to locate the suspect, according to Hoffman.

K9 Gerome began a track of the suspect’s path of travel and located some of Guzman’s clothing in a wooded area as well as a black BB gun. K9 Gerome continued his track and flushed out Guzman from a wooded area. He was apprehended without incident by patrol officers working the perimeter.

Guzman was charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Wearing a Disguise During Commission of a Felony.
