Union Park Volvo Cars, Delaware’s only Volvo dealer, has announced that it has begun a complete renovation of its facilities. The Union Park Volvo Cars sales showroom located at Pennsylvania Avenue and Dupont St. and the service facility located at 901 N. Union St. will both receive complete makeovers. Mayor Purzycki visited the site on Tuesday, March 26th. “The Union Park Automotive Group’s ongoing commitment to the City of Wilmington has lasted for more than 60 years,” said Mayor Mike Purzycki. “As Jim and his team continue to grow and expand to meet customer needs, we are honored to support them for being an outstanding business neighbor and a wonderful community partner.”

The revamped service facility will include a climate-controlled parking area,a beautiful new reception and waiting area for customers and technology capable of recognizing a customer’s Volvo and retrieving the vehicle’s vital signs even before the customer parks.

The new sales showroom will include a relaxing customer living room, special exterior glass that incorporates Volvo’s signature blue logo color and a natural wood foyer entrance for comfort.

Both Union Park Volvo Cars sales and service facilities will remain open for normal hours and fully operational during this transformation. When necessary, signage will direct customers to alternate entrances to the facility for service. Additionally, when necessary signage will direct customers to another Union Park facility on Pennsylvania Avenue for assistance.

Union Park Volvo Cars has had the pleasure of serving the Wilmington area since 1999. As owner Frank A. Ursomarso, Sr. said, “Having visited Volvo headquarters and met with the company’s leaders, Union Park Volvo Cars looks forward to capturing the unique Volvo aesthetic in our renovated facilities. I have no doubt that our customers and guests will love the new look, technology and improved comfort.”

Union Park Volvo Cars will invest approximately $2 million in Wilmington as part of this renovation project, adding to its significant investment in the City of Wilmington. The well-respected Wilmington based construction management firm EDiS Company, will manage the project.
