Photo Shows National Guard Aircraft Landing After Losing Number 1 Engine

New Castle – At 1:23 this afternoon firefighters with the Delaware Air National Guard (ANG) and the Wilmington Manor Fire Company responded to the New Castle County Airport reports of an aircraft emergency.

Reports from the scene indicate that a C-130, believed to be with the Delaware National Guard, lost power to an engine in mid-flight and declared an emergency.

The plane has landed safely and has been escorted back to the ANG hanger by the firefighters. No injuries have been reported and the incident has been placed under control.
