Young Woman Trapped After Sunday Morning Collision

Haberson – At approximately 2:30 this morning crews from the Indian River Fire Company, Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad, and Sussex County Medics responded to 30076 Hollymount Road for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

While en route, crews learned that they were responding to a two vehicles accident that left an 18-year-old female trapped in her vehicle.

Upon arrival, crews reported that the patient was seriously injured, ordered the road closed and began extrication.

The patient was freed from the vehicle after approximately 30 minutes and was transported to the Beebe Healthcare Emergency Room with Sussex County Medics accompanying.

Delaware State Police are investigating the accident.
