Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle On Sunday Hospitalized

At approximately 7:13 Sunday evening, New Castle County Paramedics, along with rescue crews from Millcreek Fire Company responded to the area of 777 Delaware Park Boulevard for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, according to Paramedic Senior Corporal Ruoy L. Koontz.

Koontz said upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found one patient, a 56-year-old male requiring advanced life support. The patient was treated on scene by New Castle County Paramedics for a suspected head injury. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Millcreek Fire Company ambulance and accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics during transport for continued care. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
