The Delaware State Police have made an arrest in a Tuesday night assault in New Castle and are asking for the public’s help in identifying two at-large suspects.
Police have arrested 19-year-old Lynshone Glascoe of New Castle in connection with the assault that took place inside a New Castle area liquor store. Two other suspects remain at-large.
Officials said that the incident occurred at approximately 9:21 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Collins Park Liquors, located at 226 New Castle Avenue. Glascoe along with two unknown suspects, one male and one female, became engaged in a verbal altercation with two store employees after the female suspect attempted to shoplift merchandise.

During the course of the assault, the female suspect used a shard of glass from a liquor bottle that was broken during the altercation to stab one of the victims in the neck and the other in the shoulder, causing serious injuries, police said. As they were fleeing the suspects also broke a glass window at the business by striking it with an unknown object.
Glascoe was taken into custody by Troopers during a search of the area. The two at-large suspects have not been identified at this time.
Glascoe was transported to Troop 2 where he was charged with the following:
Assault 2nd Degree (2 counts)
Conspiracy 3rd degree
Resisting Arrest
Criminal Mischief
Disorderly Conduct
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #11 and then committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $20,000.00 secured bail.
