Driver Trapped In Rollover Crash Flown To Trauma Center

On Thursday at approximately 3:50 in the afternoon, New Castle County Paramedics along with members of the Townsend Fire Company and Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown were dispatched to the 200 block of Pine Tree Road in Townsend for a motor vehicle crash with report of a rollover.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found one patient, a 50-year-old-male, confined to his vehicle. The patient was removed from the vehicle by personnel from responding fire companies. The patient suffered injuries to his head and legs. He was treated on scene and transported to Christiana Hospital via Delaware State Police helicopter. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
