Update: Three Injured In Head-On Collision In Newark

Newark – This evening at 6:07, the Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company, Christiana Fire ambulances A-6 and B-6, New Castle County Paramedics​, and Delaware State Police Aviation Section were dispatched to Frazer Road and Pine View Drive for a motor vehicle collision with entrapment.

Crews arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle collision with one vehicle on its side and a subject trapped. Engine 9, Squad 9, and Rescue 8 crews stabilized the vehicle and cut the windshield to extricate the patient in under 10 minutes.

Ambulance A-10 and NCC Medic 9 transported one patient and Ambulance A-6 transported one patient to Christiana Emergency Room. Ambulance A-7 evaluated another patient who declined transport to the hospital, according to Deputy Chief Jeff Sands.

New Castle County Police are investigating the collision and Chief Andrew Bowerson had Newark Command.

Breaking Report

Newark – Rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder alone with crews from the Christiana Fire Company, New Castle County Medics and Trooper 4 have responded to Frazer Road just south of Frenchtown road for a rollover crash with entrapment.

First arriving crews are reporting a vehicle on its side with one trapped.

Upon their arrival, Trooper 4 has been asked to stay airborne for a moment by Aetna Chief Andrew Bowerson.

Bowerson has asked Trooper 4 to illuminate a wooded area near the crash site with their searchlight.

The roadway has been ordered closed.
