Troopers Investigating Stabbing Outside Popular Newark Pub

Newark – Just before 7:00 Thursday evening rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder along New Castle County Paramedics and Delaware State Police responded to Peoples Plaza in the area of McGlynn’s Pub for reports of a stabbing.

First to arrive, a Trooper reported that the victim had a wound to the face. Moments later responding units learned that the patient was en route to the hospital in a personal vehicle. Responding crews then cleared.

Multiple Troopers responded to the scene and are investigating. It’s not clear if the suspect was still on scene when troopers arrived.
