Police: Surveillance Photos Of Van In Possible Child Luring Incident

Milford Police are investigating an incident that occurred Friday morning as a child walked to school, according to Sgt. Robert Masten.

Masten said Milford Police were notified about a dark red or maroon work style fan, possibly a Ford Econoline, that attempted to talk with a student walking to school in the area of North Street and Northwest 2nd Street.

The driver of the van is described as a white male with black hair, wearing black clothing.

The man made comments to the student that led the student to believe he was encouraging them to get in the van, said Masten.

The student was alarmed and ran away, eventually making it home and notifying a parent who immediately notified the police.

Masten said officers and school staff searched the area, however, they were unable to locate the vehicle. Schools in other areas of the City were also patrolled.

Milford Police are urging anyone in the area to check any outside camera they may have on their property in that area to report any findings.

Anyone with information about this incident can call 302.422.8081 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.TIP.3333.
