Woman Injured In Tuesday Afternoon Crash In Newark

This afternoon, April 7, 2020, at approximately 4:22, New Castle County Paramedics, along with emergency crews from Aetna Hook Hose and Ladder Fire Company, Christiana Fire Company, and Delaware State Police (Aviation) responded for reports of a motor vehicle collision with entrapment, according to Paramedic Senior Corporal Ruoy Koontz.

Rouy said the incident occurred at the intersection of South Chapel Street and Old Baltimore Pike. On arrival, emergency personnel found one patient that required advance life support care, a 65-year-old-female

The patient was treated for suspected internal injuries, as well as possible chest injuries. The patient was transported to Christiana Care Emergency Room via Aetna Hook Hose and Ladder Fire Company ambulance and accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition during transport.
